Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Occupational Therapist position is available in Fremont, CA, offering a full-time contract opportunity. This role involves providing occupational therapy services within two high school settings, supporting students with individualized therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services totaling approximately 1500 minutes per month.
- Conduct group therapy sessions amounting to around 240 minutes monthly.
- Manage a caseload of about 30 students across two high school sites.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school district policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license with school-based experience preferred.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively within educational settings.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated proficiency in providing both individual and group OT services.
- Willingness to work full-time hours, approximately 40 hours per week.
- Note: This position does not accept Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) or consider Vocational Occupational Certificates (VOCO).
