Summary:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst partners with business units to ensure operational and financial data is accurate, relevant, and meaningful, enabling business unit leaders and senior management to make timely, data-driven decisions regarding resource effectiveness and allocation. The role is responsible for financial planning and analysis related to business unit profitability, supporting business units in improving operational and financial effectiveness through the management of the budget life cycle, financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling. The Financial Analyst provides actionable business insights, defines key financial and operational metrics, and supports data-driven decision-making and capital investment planning across the organization.
Essential duties and responsibilities:

- Participates in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks
- Perform financial modeling, scenario analysis and comparative analysis
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Develop and evaluate business or financial projects metrics and drivers
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes and track monthly budget variances.
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, and other departments to gather financial information
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
- Maintain financial database and ensure data accuracy
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve cost efficiency
Qualifications/Competencies/Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite; exceptional knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and Great Plains is a plus
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position (internships counts)
- Experience in:
- financial planning
- financial modeling and financial analysis
- budgeting, forecasting and reporting in a very fast paced environment
- implementing and using enterprise-wide planning tool
- assist managing and enhancing an effective budgeting and forecasting process in a very fast-paced environment
