Job DescriptionDescriptionJob Summary As a Learning and Development (L&D) Consultant at Truly Good Foods, you will be instrumental in enhancing the skills, knowledge, and performance of our workforce across production, warehouse, supply chain, and commercial teams. You’ll design and deliver training that ensures operational excellence, supports food safety standards, promotes a culture of continuous improvement, and nurtures future leaders. This role is hands-on execution in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLearning Strategy & Needs Assessment· Partner with production and warehouse managers, QA, Sales, and HR to assess capability gaps and development needs.· Identify and prioritize learning opportunities across key areas: food safety, quality, operations, equipment, and leadership.· Support the creation and execution of a warehouse-to-corporate L&D strategy that aligns with business growth and compliance requirements. Program Development & Facilitation· Enhance and facilitate onboarding, safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and role-specific technical training.· Develop training for frontline production workers, line leads, and emerging supervisors.· Customize learning experiences for cross-functional teams (supply chain, warehouse, quality, and commercial functions).· Create job aids, SOPs, microlearning modules, and blended learning programs tailored to manufacturing workflows. Compliance & Continuous Improvement· Ensure all required training is completed, documented, and audit-ready in accordance with FDA, USDA, and internal standards.· Track training effectiveness and make continuous improvements based on feedback and performance data.· Lead post-training evaluations and impact assessments using metrics and stakeholder input. Stakeholder Partnership· Act as a trusted advisor to production, warehouse and office leaders on learning initiatives and workforce development.· Collaborate with QA, and operations to support safe, efficient, and compliant work environmentsCoach managers on how to support learning culture and team development on the production floor.
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseKnowledge and Skill Requirements· Operational awareness with a passion for frontline development. · Collaborative and approachable with strong interpersonal skills. · Creative in content delivery and instructional design. · Organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. · Culturally sensitive and inclusive in communication and training styles. · Entrepreneurial mindset with a thoughtful executional mindset a must. · Demonstrated self-awareness is non-negotiable. Education and Experience· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Industrial Psychology, or related field a plus. · 3-5 years of L&D experience, including at least 2 years in a food manufacturing or CPG setting a plus. · Hands-on experience designing and delivering training to hourly and salaried staff in a production environment· Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, food safety requirements, and regulatory compliance training a plus. · Proficient in Microsoft Office and learning platforms (LMS, eLearning tools); experience with Axonify a plus.Preferred Qualifications· Experience in snack food production (e.g., baked, fried, or packaged snack products) a plus. · Experience with bilingual training delivery (English/Spanish strongly preferred) Physical Demands· The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
