Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
Location: Orange, CA
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Description:

We are looking for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) with 2 years of experience to join a busy, acute care hospital's Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in large hospital settings, be able to circulate in L&D procedures, and have all required certifications. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a Magnet-designated facility with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Labor and Delivery Care: Provide nursing care for women during labor and delivery, including assisting with the management of labor, facilitating deliveries, and post-partum care.
• Circulation: Be able to circulate during deliveries, assisting with procedures and providing care to both the mother and newborn.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families on the childbirth process, pain management options, and newborn care.
• Collaboration: Work closely with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and comfort of the mother and baby.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic for patient assessments, care plans, and delivery progress.

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing (no first-time travelers, hard stop).
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate certification required. AWHONN Advanced preferred.
• Ability to circulate during labor and delivery.
• Experience in a large hospital setting is highly preferred.
• Epic charting experience is a must.
• No pending licenses accepted.
• Must be able to work weekends (weekends may exceed every other week depending on unit needs).
• RTO (Requests Time Off) must be submitted at the time of application.
