Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Programmer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting CNC machining processes for complex turning and milling operations, including 5-axis machining. This role focuses on CNC programming, tooling and workholding design, process development, and shop-floor support to ensure high-quality, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam
- Support turning, milling, and 5-axis machining operations
- Analyze blueprints and CAD models; apply GD T principles
- Select tooling, speeds, feeds, and setup requirements
- Design tooling and workholding solutions
- Support first article production and shop-floor troubleshooting
- Document setups and processes using tooling control sheets
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of CNC programming experience with CAM software
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience (including NPI preferred)
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM and Mastercam
- Strong understanding of machining practices and CNC setups
- High School Diploma or GED (Vocational/Associate Degree preferred)
