Job Title: Transportation Dispatch Operator
Location: Harahan, LA (New Orleans Area)
Pay: Starting at $16/hour (based on experience)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Summary
We are partnering with a valued client, to recruit Transportation Dispatch Operators for their new location in Harahan. This role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational and communication skills who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The Dispatcher will coordinate transportation operations, support drivers, and ensure efficient daily scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers for scheduled routes and assignments
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams
- Monitor transportation schedules and make real-time adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports
- Provide excellent customer service and support via phone and computer systems
- Handle clerical duties including data entry and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Strong clerical and organizational skills
- Comfortable using computers and basic office software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Personable and customer-service oriented
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to attend out-of-town training in Houston for one week
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous dispatch or logistics experience
- Experience in transportation or staffing industries
Training Information
- One-week training will take place in Houston
- Candidates are expected to drive to Houston
- Hotel accommodations will be provided by the company
- All training hours are paid
- Mileage reimbursement or per diem will be provided
