Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential care and support to patients under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities, including dressing, grooming, and bathing.
- Assist with feeding and mobility support for patients who need help.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration.
- Help with patients’ basic health needs, such as changing bed linens, ensuring hygiene, and providing comfort.
- Document patient care and report any significant changes in their condition to nursing staff.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, ensuring their well-being.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with patient transfer to and from beds, wheelchairs, or other equipment as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Current CNA certification in the state of New Jersey
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients and team members
- Ability to lift and transfer patients (assistance available when needed)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies calmly
- Must be able to work flexible hours (day, evenings and nights)
