Appleone has partnered with a client seeking a bilingual Vietnamese Medical Receptionist!
Core Responsibilities:
Manage patient check-in/out, demographic and insurance verification (incl. scanning documents).
Schedule appointments, submit referrals/authorizations, fax and scan documents.
Call patients to confirm or update appointments.
Take patient health histories and assist with basic ophthalmic testing: Visual Acuity (VA), Intraocular Pressure (Tonopen) and administering topical/dilation drops as directed.
Keep waiting and office areas clean and organized, support doctors and ensure a welcoming environment.
Maintain compliant files (HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, etc.) and manage supply deliveries.
Assist with system-backup protocols during system outages.
Requirements & Skills:
High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license and insurance.
Travel between clinic sites as needed.
Experience in ophthalmic/optometric or medical office settings is preferred.
Strong communication, customer-service mindset, and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Detail-oriented, organized, able to multitask in fast-paced environments using independent judgment.
Physical & Work Environment:
Office setting with controlled climate, low to moderate noise.
Role involves sitting, standing, walking, lifting items up to ~20 lbs, bending, and frequent use of a keyboard.
