About the Role

The Inside Sales Manager will lead and develop a high-performing inside sales team to drive revenue growth and achieve profitability goals. This role is responsible for execution, team performance, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement across phone, email, and digital sales channels.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and motivate inside sales representatives to meet or exceed targets
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of new team members
  • Establish clear KPIs and performance expectations (quotes, orders, activity)
  • Communicate performance updates, challenges, and insights to leadership
  • Act as a bridge between sales and production to ensure alignment
  • Handle escalations and complex customer or operational issues

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor daily sales metrics including quotes and order activity
  • Analyze trends and implement performance improvement plans
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members
  • Provide consistent reporting and visibility to leadership

Process, Tools & Collaboration

  • Ensure accurate and effective CRM usage (customer data, terms, orders)
  • Maintain clean pipelines (monthly order cleanup, quarterly quote cleanup)
  • Continuously improve sales workflows and processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and Finance

Customer Experience

  • Ensure a high-quality, consistent customer experience from inquiry to delivery
  • Maintain strong communication standards across all channels
  • Ensure response times remain within 24 hours

Daily / Weekly / Monthly Responsibilities

  • Manage team attendance, scheduling, and approvals
  • Oversee shared inbox and communication flow
  • Serve as escalation point for the inside sales team
  • Track chargebacks and report daily totals
  • Lead sales meetings, set agendas, and follow through on action items
  • Maintain CRM data accuracy and perform quarterly cleanups
  • Support quarterly performance evaluations
