Our part-time, paid internship program provides hands-on experience in a dynamic, innovative environment within the entertainment industry. Interns can work up to 29 hours per week with a flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments. Participants will engage in real projects, gaining practical industry insights while developing professional skills through workshops and career-building sessions. The program also features guest speaker events with industry experts, networking opportunities with professionals and fellow interns, and exclusive perks such as company outings, team-building activities, and access to film and media screenings.
Summary
Legendary PR is looking for a curious, driven, and creative intern to join our PR team. This internship offers an opportunity to observe and support the development of publicity and marketing campaigns across television, film, and comics, merchandise and licensing. Interns will assist with research, brainstorms, and materials prep, while gaining exposure to the inner workings of a studio PR team and learning how campaigns are built from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on media trends, press targets, and competitive campaigns
- Participate in brainstorms and contribute ideas for campaign moments, events, and activations
- Help create decks and documents for internal presentations and team planning
- Assist in organizing and maintaining project tracking tools and contact lists
- Learn how the PR team collaborates with internal departments (digital & creative marketing) and external partners (platforms, press, agencies)
- Observe the development of PR strategy and participate in team check-ins and calls
- Observe and participate at special events
- Meet and greets with senior leaders at Legendary to understand and learn about the entertainment industry
Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Fall/Spring) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months.
- A GPA of 3.5 or above is highly preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- A student or recent graduate interested in PR, communications, marketing, or media
- Eager to learn, organized, detail-oriented, and a clear communicator
- Passionate about entertainment (film and tv)—and excited by storytelling
- Comfortable working in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and open to learning new tools (Teams, Slack, Airtable, Muck Rack, BOX)
