Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Manager to oversee and staff an Outpatient Infusion Pharmacy. The position requires a professional with strong clinical pharmacy skills, particularly in IV compounding and chemotherapy, to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the Outpatient Infusion Pharmacy.
- Provide direct clinical pharmacy services and staff the pharmacy alongside management duties.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
- Utilize Epic software to support pharmacy workflows and documentation.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and clear Virginia pharmacy license.
- Extensive experience in IV compounding and chemotherapy preparation.
- Proven clinical pharmacy skills in a hospital or infusion setting.
- Familiarity and proficiency with Epic electronic health record system is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage pharmacy staff and oversee operational functions.
Schedule and Location:
- Work hours are typically 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Pharmacy operating hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- No on-call or weekend coverage required.
- Located in Dumfries, VA.
