Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with precision and care.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
- Utilize Toast POS system for order processing and inventory management.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies to ensure availability.
- Uphold café standards for quality control in all beverages and food items.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage crafting.
- Proficient in cash handling and retail math for accurate transactions.
- Experience with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for managing cash register operations.
- Previous experience in a café or retail setting is advantageous but not required.
- A willingness to learn about coffee varieties, brewing methods, and food safety practices.
