Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical

Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Work Schedule: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Location: Canton, GA

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on neuro and surgical patient care. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from acute illnesses and various surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to medical and surgical patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards

Patient Population:

• Patients recovering from neurosurgery, neurology conditions, ENT procedures, and general surgery
• Mix of ambulatory patients capable of partial self-care and patients requiring total care
• Patients needing continuous assessment and monitoring

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience (neuro experience preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
