Responsibilities
• Adhere to all industry and PIRTEK safety standards
• Carry out service calls & sales visits in your local area
• Identify faulty hoses and/ or hose assemblies to service the customers’ needs
• Remove worn or broken hoses before fabricating and installing the new replacement
• Ensure oil spills/ environmental contaminants, due to hose failure and/ or repair, are cleaned or contained to the
customer’s satisfaction (as well as federal, state, and local regulations)
• Input service details into the online database to create accurate invoices
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers
• Maintain mobile service unit, tools, and equipment
• Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues on-site and conducting frequent follow-up visits
• Participate in the rotating On-Call schedule (with increased incentive pay)
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Work Environment
You will be operating out of a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center in a purpose-built mobile service unit – a workshop-van that is
outfitted with all the tools and machinery needed to successfully service your local area .
• Territory-based service areas
• Service locations may differ in terrain, noise level, temperature, common amenities available, etc.
• Oil, grease, lubricant, and other “messy” substances are frequently used
• You may be required to travel for training initiatives, at no cost to you
Skills & Abilities Needed
• Sit, stand, kneel, bend, and/or stoop from moderate to extended periods
• Safely use ladders, step-ups, stairs, etc.
• Mechanically inclined – consistent use of hand tools & specialized equipment is required
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Self-motivated & positive attitude through difficult jobs
• Able to work individually and as a team
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Can safely & lawfully drive a large work van
Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED
• Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Experience in industrial development & construction, automobile/ marine/ field mechanics, or a related industry is a
plus
• Ability to pass a background check
