WELDER / FABRICATOR – RELOCATION OPPORTUNITY

Location: Buffalo, NY (Lackawanna Manufacturing Facility)
Shift Options:
• 1st Shift: 7:00am – 4:00pm
• 2nd Shift: 3:30pm – 12:00am

GTI Fabrication is actively relocating skilled welders from across New York State to the Buffalo, NY area as part of a long-term growth strategy supporting some of the largest modular fabrication programs in the country.

What You’ll Do

• Perform MIG / GMAW welding on structural steel, frames, brackets, and modular assemblies

• Fit, tack, assemble, and weld components to engineering and production specifications

• Execute welds in 3G / 4G and other positional orientations

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols

• Use grinders, torches, and fabrication tools safely and efficiently

• Perform self-inspections to ensure weld quality meets AWS and GTI standards

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with GTI safety policies

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional MIG welding experience

• Ability to pass a 3G and/or 4G weld test

• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills

• Ownership of basic welding tools and PPE (hood, gloves, etc.)

• Willingness to relocate to the Buffalo, NY area (relocation assistance available)

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certification (D1.1, 3G/4G)

• Experience in modular fabrication, structural steel, or heavy industrial environments

• Additional STICK or TIG welding experience

Compensation & Benefits

• $25-32/hour, based on weld test and experience

• Minimum 40 hours per week, with overtime available

• Weekly pay
