JOB SUMMARY:

Housing Forward is looking for a part-time Human Resources Assistant working 25 to 29 hours per week. The primary responsibility of providing support within Human Resources. This role provides administrative support to human resources with recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, employee benefits, performance management, record keeping, file maintenance and reporting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with recruitment process, posting open positions, tracking candidates, conducting phone screens, and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct references checks, schedules background screening and drafts offer letters.
  • Entering new hires to HRIS for onboarding.
  • Work with Operations to set-up equipment and phone needs, issuing desk space.
  • First day orientation, complete onboarding documents including processing I9, introductions and tour of facilities.
  • Manage coordination and materials for new staff orientation including related activities.
  • Manage new hire 30, 60 and 90 day reviews.
  • Create and maintain employee files, convert paper documents to electronic and conduct annual audit.
  • Create employment reports for CEO.
  • Assist employees with human resources related questions and issues.
  • Maintains SharePoint HR folder.
  • Provide support with annual open enrollment for benefits.
  • Responsible for scheduling performance evaluations using HRIS system.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Requirements:

Strong people skills, professional presence, and ability to interact with a diverse audience.

Strong work ethic and integrity, able to work with confidential information while maintaining sociability with staff.

Skilled in Office and knowledge of SharePoint.

Paylocity knowledge a plus.

Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel, crouch, and walk up and down stairs.
  • The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

HOURLY RATE: $26.00 - $28.00
