Job Description

ABOUT GUIDEBOOK:

Guidebook is a simple yet powerful event management software that lets you promote your event, manage registration and create an app in four easy steps with no technical skills required.

Thousands of organizations across the globe use Guidebook to create mobile applications for events, university campus open houses, venue guides, onboarding for associations, corporate training, and so much more. These apps help people stay organized, connect with their peers, and access more information - but it doesn’t stop there.

Our mission is to support the people who bring people together - event organizers. Events have never felt more important in building connections and helping shape and change minds in today’s fractured world. We are a driven team on a mission to elevate event experiences for everyone – and believe we can accomplish that while highly valuing balance, togetherness, and fun!

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Guidebook team is seeking a proven self-starting individual to join as a B2B Revenue Operations Manager. This individual will be responsible for optimizing and executing sales and marketing processes, managing marketing and sales automation (Marketo or equivalent technology, and Salesforce), lead data connection to our CRM (Salesforce), administrating our CRM instance (Salesforce), and leveraging analytics to power data-driven decision-making for ‘full funnel’ effectiveness across the organization. This role requires close partnership with marketing, sales, and engineering teams to ensure seamless ‘full funnel’ execution, accurate reporting, and continuous process improvement. This role is ideal for a process-driven, analytical operator who thrives in a fast-paced B2B environment and who is deeply passionate about leveraging technology to drive marketing and sales effectiveness and business growth.

For sake of clarity: This role is not a people management position, and you would be an individual contributor on a highly collaborative team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

System Administration:

  • Build, deploy, and monitor marketing automation programs, such as Marketo or Conversion AI (engagement, triggers, email, webinar, and event campaigns).

  • Administrate our Salesforce CRM system, including managing and creating flows, updating page layouts, monitoring and refining custom objects

  • Build robust flows between our corp website, Marketo/Conversion AI, CRM systems, Chili Piper, Unbounce, ZoomInfo, and Ringlead.

  • Support A/B testing, segmentation, and campaign optimization.

  • Maintain data integrity and compliance within our CRM.

  • Oversee CRM requests, troubleshoot issues, and manage lead-to-opportunity workflows.

  • Optimize our GTM Tech Stack integrations for accurate lead and campaign tracking.

  • Iterate and improve lead structures and lead scoring, assist in automating assignment processes, and maintain data quality in ‘top of funnel’ data capture.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain metrics reports on marketing and sales activities, campaign effectiveness, and business impact.

  • Establish feedback loops on unconverted funnel activity (qualitative and quantitative).

  • Analyze overall GTM performance, conversion rates, and deliver actionable insights with clear recommendations for improvement.

  • Track and report on results, providing data-driven suggestions to stakeholders.

Process Optimization:

  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies in GTM systems and processes.

  • Document and improve workflows, develop standardized playbooks, and support best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on campaign strategy, execution, and reporting.

WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Audit our entire GTM tech stack and offer insights for enhancement/refinement.

  • Become fully onboarded to Guidebook’s marketing tech stack (Marketo/Conversion AI, Salesforce, HubSpot, Chili Piper, Unbounce, ZoomInfo, Ringlead); able to execute basic campaigns and workflows independently.

  • Learn the inner workings of our Salesforce setup and begin proposing and implementing improvements.

  • Accurately build and launch Marketo/Conversion AI programs (email, webinar, event campaigns), managing forms and landing pages with quality control.

  • Effectively support A/B testing, campaign segmentation, and basic optimization.

  • Maintain data integrity and troubleshoot simple issues within GTM systems.

  • Deliver initial revenue performance reports, demonstrating proficiency with analytics platforms in use.

  • Establish relationships and regular meeting cadence with marketing, sales, and operations stakeholders.

  • Gain familiarity with typical sales enablement requests, core business KPIs, and other important operating metrics.

  • Document initial process improvements and recommendations for lead workflows.

WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Optimize and refine integrations between Marketo/Conversion AI, Salesforce, and other systems for more accurate performance management.

  • Proactively identify and resolve inefficiencies in marketing and sales processes, contributing to developing or updating playbooks and workflow documentation.

  • Independently analyze funnel metrics; present actionable insights and recommendations for improvements to stakeholders.

  • Own our JIRA RevOps instance, ensuring you are working on the things that will drive the business forward.

  • Iteratively improve business processes like scoring models, data hygiene and automated assignment.

  • Master our GTM tech stack and begin implementing more advanced architectures.

  • Elevate reporting, incorporating greater detail on conversion rates and campaign/business impact.

  • Demonstrate continuous learning: implement at least one new best practice or tool learned from ongoing research or peer collaboration.

  • Begin proposing behavior or system-based changes that will improve revenue performance.

WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Own end-to-end “full funnel” execution and analytics, consistently delivering data-driven strategy improvements that lead to measurable business growth.

  • Maintain a robust marketing and sales data infrastructure, ensuring ongoing compliance, efficiency, and alignment across all integrated platforms.

  • Present quarterly and annual process optimization outcomes to leadership, highlighting impact on conversion rates, lead quality, and revenue influence.

  • Contribute to the evolution of marketing technology by proposing and piloting new tools or workflow innovations.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for revenue operations best practices, both within the team and as a resource for cross-functional partners.

OTHER CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 4+ years in a revenue operations or similar B2B role.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize marketing automation and CRM systems like Salesforce.

  • Salesforce Admin Certification preferable or equivalent experience.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to oversee multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Experience with workflow documentation and process improvement.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to present insights clearly and collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and in teams.

  • Exhibits a growth mindset and passion for continuous learning and staying updated on go-to-market technology trends.

  • Preferably has experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics, SQL, Metabase; has familiarity with B2B customer lifecycle management and customer journey mapping; possesses solid understanding of creative and campaign processes.

PERKS:

  • Short term and long term disability.

  • Unlimited vacation time.

  • 401k program with matching benefit.
