Job Description

Job Description

At Amphibious Medics, we’re redefining healthcare in construction and industrial settings. Imagine trading fluorescent-lit hospital rooms for open skies, bustling job sites, and hands-on problem-solving. As a Nurse Practitioner, you’ll bring your expertise to the heart of these industries, empowering workers to stay safe, healthy, and productive. Say goodbye to the chaotic clinic grind and hello to a career where you see 2–3 patients a day—giving you time to provide real care and make an impact.

Compensation Package

  • Per Diem: $1,000 weekly
  • Hourly Pay: Competitive rates between $70.00 – $75.00 per hour

Your Role As a Nurse Practitioner with Amphibious Medics, you’ll:

  • Conduct patient assessments and provide first-class treatment for workplace injuries and health concerns.
  • Collaborate with safety managers, employees, and site teams to promote wellness and injury prevention.
  • Manage health cases to ensure quick recoveries and prevent recordable incidents.
  • Provide tailored health education and promote exercise/stretching routines.
  • Be a hero on-site, offering care that ensures safety and compliance with OSHA guidelines.
  • Build strong relationships with workers who rely on your expertise and compassion.
  • Conduct daily site assessment working alongside the safety team.

What You’ll Do

Site Assessment: We strive to support our clients in the field, not in the office! You will spend 65% of your day actively engaging with the workers.

What You Bring

Physical Requirements: Ability to walk a job site including climbing stairs while carrying a backpack up to 35 pounds in all weather conditions.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Freedom & Flexibility: Forget the hospital rush. Enjoy the pace of 2–3 patients per day, with ample time to focus on quality care.
  • Unique Work Environment: Swap bedside care for boots-on-the-ground action at dynamic construction and industrial sites.
  • Adventure Every Day: Experience the variety and excitement of working in the field.
  • Team Atmosphere: Be part of a supportive, tight-knit team that values your skills and contributions.

What’s in It for You?

  • Pay Rate: $70.00-$75.00 per hr
  • Benefits:
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and holidays, including 6 recognized holidays.
  • Continuing education opportunities, including certifications like OSHA 10/30.
  • Travel reimbursement and per diem for out-of-town assignments.
  • Retirement savings plan with company match.
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible schedules that let you enjoy life outside of work.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Licensure & Certification: Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification in the state of employment.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in occupational health, urgent care, or similar fields preferred (new grads with the right attitude welcome!).
  • Skills: Excellent communication, critical thinking, and adaptability to various site conditions.
  • Passion: A drive to make a difference, a love for outdoor environments, and a can-do attitude.

Company DescriptionAMPHIBIOUS MEDICS
A Veteran Owned Small Business

Amphibious Medics was founded by Mike Donoghue, a diver and set medic, to serve the marine side of LA media productions. We moved into the construction first aid industry after numerous requests from non-entertainment entities. We are now proud to be part of some of the most important construction projects and high profile productions in the country. In 2011, with a nationwide staffing network in place, the Amphibious Medics emergency response and dive teams were in position to “get dirty” with the nation’s largest obstacle racing events, including Tough Mudder and Spartan Race. The high energy excitement of these extreme events has ignited a passionate following among emergency services personnel across the U.S. who are eager to share in the professional challenge that comes with working as an Amphibious Medic.

Our nationwide network of medics are thoroughly screened by our multi-layered vetting process. To be an Amphibious Medic, membership in the National Registry of EMTs and Paramedics alone is not enough – our crew must demonstrate medical authority and responsibility.
