Status: Part Time
Compensation: $32.00 - $35.00 dependent on experience

Responsibilities
-
Perform sonograms based on AIUM guidelines.

Perform Transvaginal sonograms.

Perform Biophysical profiles and Growth scans for fetal assessment.

Performs Umbilical Artery Doppler studies

Knowledge of anatomy, positioning and imaging techniques to optimize the quality of the ultrasound images.

Effectively communicate preliminary findings and or differentials to interpreting physicians.

Generate accurate computerized ultrasound studies.

Obtain essential information from patients, medical records, and previous exams for clinical correlation.

Performs ultrasound scans and provides direct patient care as needed after proper confirmation of study and patient identification.

Observe and follow safety procedures including universal precautions.

Maintains proper HIPAA compliance while maintaining a familiarity to any changes regarding technology and the safety for self, patients, and visitors.

Operates the equipment to acquire a variety of imaging results, reports deficiencies to the proper personnel for rectification of any concern.

Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, family members and other employees.
Qualifications
-
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program with clinical and didactic education.

Must be ARDMS certified

OB/GYN experience for a minimum of one year, two years preferred
-
Nuchal Translucency Certification through the Fetal Medicine Foundation is preferred, but not required.

Prior experience performing detailed comprehensive scans.
