Now Hiring: Kindergarten Assistant Substitute (Nov 2025 April 2026)
The Goddard School Collegeville, PA (just off the Collegeville/Phoenixville 422 exit across from Providence Town Center)
Are you a recent Early Childhood Education graduate looking to start your career in Education? Are you looking for a meaningful and rewarding short-term teaching opportunity that will serve as a great introduction into teaching without all of the responsibility? We are seeking a Kindergarten Assistant Substitute to join our classroom team from early November (possibly sooner) through the end of April 2026 (with the opportunity for extended work).
In this role, youll support the Lead Kindergarten Teacher with classroom activities, projects, learning centers, behavior guidance, and parent communication. This is a great opportunity for an energetic, positive educator who enjoys working with young children and thrives in a collaborative, play-based learning environment.

What Youll Do:
- Assist with the daily implementation of curriculum and learning activities
- Support students with classroom routines and transitions
- Help manage behavior using positive guidance strategies
- Prepare materials and assist with classroom setup
- Build meaningful relationships with children and families
- Contribute to a nurturing, safe, and joyful classroom environment
- Step in for lead teacher responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood or Education (preferred)
- Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare, preschool, or elementary setting
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Must be dependable, nurturing, and flexible
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain actively engaged with children throughout the day
