MANUAL MACHINIST(Direct Hire)

Jacksonville, FL | $40 - $45/hr. | Full-Time | Relocation Assistance | Monday - Friday

POSITION SUMMARY

Our team at Staffing with Bliss is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our client in Jacksonville, FL! The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to operate vertical turret lathes, horizontal boring mills, vertical mills, and manual lathes. This role is crucial in ensuring that precision parts are produced according to specifications, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

This is a 40 hour work week position with optional overtime. Our client is a fast paced, customer driven, family owned business with opportunities for growth!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Producing parts from prints, or recreating parts from samples provided
• Using measuring devices to quality check and record all data
• Work with a variety of materials including multiple types of stainless steel, cast iron, steel and exotic materials.
• Use handheld power tools such as grinders, band saws, etc.
• Assist other machinists when needed
• Lift heavy pieces to adjust on machine (crane in place over all machines)
• Ability to learn and understand industrial pumps or past experience with any rotating equipment a plus.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Working overtime on short notice on occasion
• Dependable transportation
• Ability to follow directions and keep jobs organized
• Exhibition of good communication skills when working with fellow employees
• Ability to complete tasks according to planned schedule
• Willingness to help out where needed
