About the Role
TheSr. Landscape Operations Manageris a key leadership role responsible for overseeing field operations, maintenance activities, and enhancement projects across multiple commercial sites. This position requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on field experience, and the ability to lead teams whilemaintainingthe highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Reporting directly to the Vice President, the Sr. Operations Manager will manage crews, coordinate schedules, ensureaccurateexecution of plans, andmaintainstrong client relationships. The ideal candidate brings bothexpertisein landscape operations and practical skills such as site surveying, use of laser levels, grading, earth moving, plan reading, and material in-grade placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations for landscape maintenance and enhancement projects
- Lead, train, and develop field crews (24 per crew) to ensure quality and efficiency
- Conduct site inspections and verify work aligns with project specifications
- Perform and interpretsite surveying, including use oflaser levels,grade stakes, and elevation measurements
- Coordinate and superviseearth moving,grading, and material installation tomaintainproper in-grade conditions
- Read, interpret, and executelandscape plans, blueprints, and construction documents
- Manage project budgets, track job costs, and ensure work is completed on schedule
- Serve as frontline customer contact, addressing concerns and delivering solutions promptly
- Promote and enforce all OSHA safety standards across field operations
- Assistwith scheduling, workflow planning, and resource allocation
- Support procurement of materials and verifyaccuratequantities and placement
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal departments
Qualifications
- Minimum2 years of landscape operations experience, including management of multiple crews
- Proven experience withsite layout, laser level and reading plans
- Familiarity with soil conditions, drainage, and material in-grade requirements
- Valid drivers license
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform physical work: walk, bend, lift 4080lbs
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards and commitment to safety compliance
- Ability to balance quality, efficiency, and customer needs
