Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Construction General Laborer specializing in office furniture installation. In this role, you will assemble desks, furniture, and storage solutions within office buildings using hand tools and cordless drills. You will also assist with unloading materials from trucks and transporting them to designated workspaces.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install desks, furniture, and storage units in office environments.
- Use hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, tape measures) and cordless drills for efficient assembly.
- Unload and move materials from delivery trucks to work areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and cordless drills (minimum 1+ years of experience).
- Demonstrated reliability with 2+ years in a current or recent role.
- Foreman candidates should have 3+ years of construction experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints and follow assembly procedures.
- Experience in furniture assembly, installation, and delivery.
- Knowledge of carpentry, drywall, and concrete work.
- Familiarity with inventory management and door installation.
Work Environment
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional weekends to meet deadlines.
- Hours: 9–10 hour shifts, starting between 5:30–7:00 AM; ending around 4:00–4:30 PM.
- Some evening work (5:00–10:00 PM) may be required with 1–2 weeks’ notice.
- Travel: Occasional travel to Des Moines during slower periods in Omaha.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Vista, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
