A travel opportunity is available for a skilled Oncology Pharmacist to work in a hospital infusion center within a well-regarded healthcare network. This role focuses on supporting the new Oncology Infusion Center at a hospital in Gold Beach, Oregon, providing specialized pharmaceutical care to infusion patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with precision, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols
- Prepare and compound chemotherapy and hazardous drugs following rigorous safety standards
- Collaborate closely with oncology nurses and providers to optimize patient care
- Operate within a hospital pharmacy setting using EPIC electronic health records
Qualifications and Experience:
- PharmD degree required
- Current Oregon Pharmacist License (RPh) or ability to obtain prior to the June start date
- Demonstrated experience as a pharmacist in an oncology center, hospital, or infusion setting
- Proficiency in chemotherapy medication preparation and hazardous drug compounding
- Strong knowledge of oncology pharmacy best practices and regulatory compliance
Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Friday, eight-hour shifts
- Position based in Gold Beach, Oregon
- Start date in June to allow time for licensure processing
- 26-week contract assignment
