2G Engineering provides innovative solutions in the world of subsea electric motion control systems and power conversion. Our engineering team has extensive experience in subsea electrical and mechanical design.


Our engineering services include 3D/CAD design, finite element analysis, prototyping, mechanical and electro-mechanical designing, analog/digital circuit designing, PCB layout, embedded firmware, general software, production consulting and sourcing, training/installation documentation, and maintenance and support services.


The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring that production materials are available to meet

manufacturing schedules and customer demands. This role involves coordinating material flow

between suppliers, purchasing, and production teams while maintaining optimal inventory

levels. The Material Planner plays a key role in supporting on-time delivery, minimizing

shortages, and optimizing material costs through effective planning and communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules, forecasts, and customer orders
  • Monitor material availability and take proactive action to prevent shortages or delays
  • Coordinate with purchasing, production, and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
  • Adjust plans and priorities in response to changes in demand, supply chain disruptions, or production constraints
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy, lead times, and supply chain efficiency
  • Maintain accurate data in the ERP/MRP system, including material master information, lead times, and safety stock levels
  • Participate in production planning meetings and contribute to scheduling decisions


Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related
  • field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in material planning, production control, or supply chain
  • management in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
