Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Behavior Specialist with Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification to support students in an elementary school setting. This contract role involves working closely with one student in a 1:1 capacity within a high school Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom, addressing very severe behavioral challenges. The assignment runs Monday through Friday from 7:13 a.m. to 2:43 p.m., starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 10, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans tailored to the individual needs of the student.
- Monitor and document behavioral progress and challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family members to ensure consistency of support.
- Maintain a calm, patient, and professional demeanor in challenging situations.
- Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to improve social and learning outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
- Experience working with students diagnosed with ASD, especially those exhibiting severe behaviors.
- Strong knowledge of behavior management strategies and ABA principles.
- Ability to work independently under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
