Job Summary:

The CNA provides basic patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for patients in various healthcare settings.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
  • Record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight).
  • Provide support for patient safety, infection control, and comfort measures.
  • Assist with positioning, transferring, and ambulation of patients.
  • Report changes in patient condition to supervising nurse.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by facility.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by facility supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Active CNA certification listed on state registry.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current BLS/CPR (preferred; may be required by facility).
  • Minimum 6 months of prior CNA experience (facility may require more).
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and perform direct patient care.
