Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Carson, California. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a multi-line phone system effectively.

Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist visitors in a courteous and attentive manner.
• Manage and operate a multi-line phone system to answer and direct incoming calls.
• Handle switchboard operations efficiently for phone systems with 1 to 10 lines.
• Respond promptly to inbound calls while providing accurate information and assistance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Coordinate with internal teams to relay messages and manage schedules.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling appointments.
• Ensure confidentiality and care in handling sensitive information.
• Provide support for part-time receptionist duties as needed.• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a receptionist or in a related role.
• Proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems and switchboards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Exceptional customer service abilities and a friendly demeanor.
• High level of organizational and multitasking skills.
• Familiarity with basic administrative tasks, including filing and scheduling.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Comfortable working in a non-profit organization environment.
