The opportunity
We're partnering with a leading institutional investment organization in Austin. This role sits on a Major Fund Accounting & Reporting team supporting investment accounting and operational activities across a multi-asset platform, including public markets and alternative investments.

What you'll do
- Support monthly close and ongoing investment accounting processes
- Prepare and maintain supporting workpapers and reporting packages for stakeholders
- Assist with private investment and hedge fund valuation/pricing workflows
- Monitor private investment activity (capital calls/distributions) and track public/hedge fund activity
- Perform bank/custodian/external manager reconciliations
- Support consolidations, audit workpapers, and elements of financial statement preparation
- Calculate and process management fees
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement
What they're looking for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relate field
- 3+ years of public accounting or financial services accounting experience
- Strong workpaper discipline, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written/verbal communication and collaborative working style
- Proficiency with Excel and comfort learning workflow tools (SharePoint / BI tools are a plus)
Strongly preferred
- CPA or MBA (CPA in progress can be considered if paired with strong relevant experience)
- Exposure to investment accounting concepts (reconciliations, valuation support, audit support, alternatives, fund structures)
The honest part (this is why good people succeed here)
- This team values people who can take initiative and solve problems without needing constant direction.
- They care about stability and progression; frequent job changes can be a concern unless the story is clear and reasonable.
