This opportunity calls for a Registered Nurse with PCU experience to provide exceptional patient care in a stepdown unit. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN license with at least 1 year experience in progressive care or stepdown units.
- Certification in ACLS and BLS required; NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
- Experience with high-acuity interventions including drip management, arterial lines, and respiratory support such as BiPAP and Airvo.
- Flexible to float to other units as needed and available to work major holidays with scheduling support.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating every other weekend schedule.
- Must be nicotine-free as per facility policies.
- New graduates are not accepted for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring post-ICU or with complex medical conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor and manage intravenous drips, airway support devices, and hemodynamic parameters.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with facility protocols.
- Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development.
