???? Northern Virginia (Fairfax, Alexandria, Arlington, Lorton)
???? Full-Time
???? $90,000–$120,000+ (Base + Commission + Company Vehicle)Build Relationships. Drive Revenue. Grow Your Career.

This isn’t a “check-in on accounts” role.

This is a role for someone who can walk onto a property, see opportunity, lead the conversation, and close the work.

Brandon Rushing Lawn & Garden Care is a family-owned company with over 30 years of experience, built on strong relationships, high standards, and long-term client trust.

We’ve built a strong foundation — and now we’re growing. We’re expanding our sales team and looking for someone who wants to own a book of business, grow their income, and grow with us.

???? The Opportunity

You won’t be starting from scratch.

You’ll work with an established client base, meeting homeowners at their properties, walking the landscape, and identifying opportunities to improve how their property looks, functions, and performs.

This is a client-facing outside sales and account management role focused on:

  • Landscape sales
  • Account management
  • Enhancement project sales
  • Long-term client growth

You’ll be expected to lead, recommend, and close — not wait.

???? Relevant Background

This role may be a great fit if you’ve worked in:
Outside Sales, Account Management, Territory Sales, Business Development, Landscape Sales, Lawn Care Sales, or Project Sales.

???? Industry Experience

We’re looking for candidates with experience in the lawn and landscape industry, including areas such as:
landscape maintenance, landscape enhancements, turf care, plant health care (PHC), irrigation systems, drainage solutions, and outdoor property services.

???? What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your portfolio of clients
  • Meet with clients at their properties and build strong relationships
  • Conduct regular property walkthroughs and site evaluations
  • Lead proactive client conversations to review performance and identify opportunities
  • Identify and sell landscape enhancements and property upgrades
  • Recommend services such as planting installations, drainage solutions, sod and turf improvements, seasonal color, mulching, pruning, irrigation upgrades, and hardscape features
  • Work with clients on both ongoing landscape maintenance programs and enhancement projects
  • Create simple designs and prepare clear, professional quotes
  • Lead clients with confidence through decisions
  • Close sales and move opportunities forward
  • Upgrade clients into better-aligned service programs
  • Rework agreements to improve long-term satisfaction and retention
  • Ask for referrals and generate new opportunities
  • Prospect and develop new business
  • Manage opportunities in a CRM system
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure strong execution and client satisfaction

⭐ What Winning Looks Like

Top performers in this role:

  • Consistently generate and close project revenue
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with clients
  • Identify opportunities others miss
  • Lead conversations — not follow them
  • Ask for the business and earn it
  • Generate referrals and repeat work
  • Stay organized, proactive, and accountable

When you win here, your clients win — and the company grows.

???? Qualifications

  • Experience in outside sales, account management, or consultative sales
  • Landscape industry experience required (maintenance, enhancements, installation, or related field)
  • Strong understanding of plants, turf, and growing conditions in Northern Virginia
  • Familiarity with turf care, plant health care (PHC), irrigation, and drainage solutions
  • Ability to walk properties and make practical, value-driven recommendations
  • Comfortable closing sales and guiding clients to decisions
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Experience using CRM software preferred
  • Valid driver’s license

Important:
You don’t need to be a landscape designer. But you do need a solid horticultural foundation and the confidence to guide clients on improvements.

???? Compensation, Benefits & Growth

$90,000–$120,000+ total compensation, including:

  • Base compensation
  • Commission on projects and upgrades
  • Performance-based incentives

At Brandon Rushing:
Effort = opportunity
Results = reward

Benefits

  • Company vehicle
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Health & dental insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Long-term career growth opportunities

???? Why Join Brandon Rushing

  • 30+ year, family-owned company with a strong reputation and loyal client base
  • Stable foundation with real growth ahead
  • High-energy, performance-driven team
  • Strong leadership and coaching
  • Clear expectations and accountability
  • Opportunity to build a book of business and long-term relationships
  • A company focused on developing both the business and its people

This is not a maintenance role.
This is a relationship-driven, revenue-generating position with long-term upside.

???? How to Apply

If you’re a driven, knowledgeable, and relationship-focused professional ready to grow your career in outside sales, account management, and landscape services, we encourage you to apply.
