Bachelor's degree, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A leading cancer treatment center located in East Hawaii is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to provide specialized radiation therapy services to patients across the island. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work with advanced treatment technologies and collaborate in a comprehensive oncology environment.
Responsibilities:
- Independently perform radiation therapy treatments, including simulations, treatment planning, and fabrication of specialized treatment aides under physician prescription.
- Utilize advanced modalities such as 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electron treatments.
- Operate Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and ARIA EMR system to treat 25-30 patients daily.
- Manage setups for all treatment sites within a comprehensive cancer center.
- Assess patient data and apply knowledge of growth and development to deliver age-appropriate care.
- Work rotating shifts, which include weekends and holidays, to provide continuous patient care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience as an imaging technologist or specialist, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of imaging procedures.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiation Therapy (T).
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a valid State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license before starting assignment.
- Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam technology and ARIA EMR is required.

Additional Details:
Candidates must arrange to arrive Thursday before start date for a mandatory employee health appointment on Friday. Applicants not currently licensed in Hawaii must apply promptly upon acceptance to ensure licensure is secured by the assignment start.
