Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Location: Ahwatukee, AZ (East Valley – Phoenix Metro Area)
Hours & Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Work Environment: Neurology Outpatient Clinic
Salary / Hourly Rate: $135,000–$175,000 annually

Job Summary:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides psychiatric mental health services to adult patients within a neurology outpatient clinic. Patients are managed by neurology and identified as having psychiatric comorbidities without active psychiatric treatment. Care is delivered primarily in person, with limited telehealth as appropriate. The PMHNP works alongside counselors and a psychiatrist to deliver comprehensive neurobehavioral mental health services.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health histories
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions in adult patients
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Monitor medication effectiveness and interactions
- Address psychiatric concerns related to neurologic conditions
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing
- Utilize non-pharmacologic treatments including TMS
- Prescribe and manage advanced therapies such as ketamine
- Collaborate with neurology, counseling, and psychiatry team members
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Active and unrestricted Arizona NP license
- Current DEA registration with no restrictions
- One year of psychiatric experience preferred
- Experience with TMS preferred
- Experience with ketamine therapy preferred
