About the Role
Our agency is partnering with a reputable, rapidly growing organization seeking a detail-oriented Development Accountant to support financial activities across multiple development projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys project-based accounting, and has strong analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day to day accounting activities for assigned development projects.
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and alignment with project budgets.
- Prepare monthly draw packages for review and submission.
- Track project cash flow, accounts payable, contractor retainage, and other project-related financials.
- Reconcile project costs, cash accounts, and payables with the general ledger.
- Maintain accurate tracking of contracts, change orders, and payments.
- Produce monthly cost reports, budget updates, and quarterly financial statements.
- Assist with annual audits, tax preparations, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and leadership to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain calendars, deadlines, and documentation to support smooth financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
