About the Role

Our agency is partnering with a reputable, rapidly growing organization seeking a detail-oriented Development Accountant to support financial activities across multiple development projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys project-based accounting, and has strong analytical and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day accounting activities for assigned development projects.
  • Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and alignment with project budgets.
  • Prepare monthly draw packages for review and submission.
  • Track project cash flow, accounts payable, contractor retainage, and other project-related financials.
  • Reconcile project costs, cash accounts, and payables with the general ledger.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of contracts, change orders, and payments.
  • Produce monthly cost reports, budget updates, and quarterly financial statements.
  • Assist with annual audits, tax preparations, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and leadership to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain calendars, deadlines, and documentation to support smooth financial operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
