Support Others Through Your Lived Experience
We are seeking a Peer Support Specialist who is passionate about helping others in their recovery journey. In this role, you will use your lived experience with behavioral health challenges to provide encouragement, guidance, and practical support to individuals working toward recovery.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary care team while helping clients build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with their communities.
Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
What You’ll Do
Provide Peer Support
- Share your personal recovery experience to inspire hope and encourage growth
- Help clients develop coping strategies and recovery skills
- Support clients in building social connections and community supports
- Assist clients in navigating community resources and services
Support Behavioral Health Services
- Facilitate recovery-focused group sessions
- Assist with crisis intervention and safety planning
- Encourage active participation in treatment and recovery planning
Monitor and Support Recovery
- Observe and document client progress and symptoms
- Encourage medication adherence and wellness strategies
- Communicate concerns or changes to the treatment team
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Self-identified consumer of behavioral health services
- Eligible for Washington State Peer Counselor certification
- Ability to complete Certified Peer Support Specialist training
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
