Job Details:

• 16 guaranteed hours per week
\n• Work in 16 operating rooms with average of 35-50 cases per day
\n• Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes
\n• Both scrubbing and circulating experience required
\n• Must have open heart scrubbing experience
\n• Patient ratio: 1:1
\n• On-call schedule: up to 2 overnight per week and 4 weekends per 13 week contract
\n• Weekend call schedule runs from Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM
\n• Required to float across all campuses (Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran)
\n• Must have 2+ years of current operating room experience
\n• Strong proficiency required in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures
\n• Basic general surgery circulating experience required
\n• EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years required
\n• Trauma Level I or II experience highly preferred
\n• Must have completed a travel assignment within previous 12 months
\n• Experience preferred in daVinci robotics, pediatrics, trauma, neurology, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular procedures
\n• Scrubs provided
\n• Work with 3 DaVinci robots, Stealth technology for neuro navigation, and primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma
\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
\n• Iowa nursing license required

The facility maintains 16 operating rooms running 12-14 routinely and reserves space specifically for trauma cases. The organization utilizes advanced technology including robotic surgical systems and state-of-the-art navigation equipment to provide high-quality patient care across multiple service lines.
