We are seeking a fearless, growth-minded Catering Director to spearhead our catering division for the Leeann Chin brand. The Catering Director owns the sales strategy, revenue growth, and operational vision for the entire catering segment of Leeann Chin. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will lead a dedicated sales and delivery team, forge high-value corporate partnerships, and design aggressive market penetration strategies. This role balances aggressive outbound sales with deep localized engagement, turning every restaurant community into a thriving catering hub.
What You Will Do:
- Design and execute dynamic outbound B2B sales strategies to aggressively capture corporate accounts, large-scale events, and community partnerships across Minnesota.
- Actively lead and participate in Local Store Marketing initiatives to build grassroots brand awareness. Partner with General Managers to identify neighborhood sales opportunities, school partnerships, and hyper-local business networks.
- Drive and champion our internal Brand Ambassador program. Train, motivate, and leverage team members at the restaurant level to act as local advocates, turning daily guest interactions into high-volume catering leads.
- Manage and monitor catering discount rates and promotional pricing structures. Balance aggressive sales volume growth with healthy profitability by ensuring all custom proposals and corporate contracts align with brand margin goals.
- Lead structured, metrics-driven weekly sales reviews with the catering sales team and brand executives. Analyze pipeline health, breakdown key wins, identify lagging metrics, and pivot strategies in real time to ensure all goals are on track.
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and inspire a high-performing catering sales and delivery team.
- Conduct 1x1 reviews and hands-on coaching sessions to sharpen the team’s cold-calling, prospecting, and closing ratios.
- Collaborate directly with Regional Directors to guarantee flawless execution at the store level, ensuring our food is always delivered Piping Hot and Fresh.
- Personally cultivate, negotiate, and close enterprise-level corporate accounts, university contract business, and major event partnerships.
- Establish and refine catering standards for contract creation and proposal design, ensuring an unmatched client experience that secures long-term loyalty.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven Sales Leadership: Minimum 5+ years of professional sales experience, with at least 3+ years of proven success managing, scaling, and motivating a B2B sales team (hospitality or multi-unit restaurant catering background highly preferred).
- The "Hunter" Mindset: A masterful closer with a superior track record in cold-calling, local grassroots prospecting, and high-volume corporate sales.
- Financial Acumen: Proven experience analyzing sales metrics, managing discount thresholds, and understanding the balance between top-line revenue and bottom-line food cost profitability.
- Strategic & Tech-Savvy: Exceptional organizational skills with deep expertise in CRM platforms (Caterease or ZoomInfo experience is a massive plus) and pipeline management tools.
- Professional Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
