While gaining exposure to the critical field execution phase, you will also be tasked with building the digital tools and automation that eliminate manual processes for the project team. The successful candidate will act as the central point for project data coordination and will build systems to streamline interactions with engineering, procurement, and regulatory entities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management Support:

  • Assist in project execution from field turnover to completion, supporting the management of large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate information flow between departments including Development, Business Management, Procurement, Engineering, and ISC during field execution.
  • Help administer contracts and ensure compliance with project scope and specifications.
  • Assist in developing project management plans, including initial scheduling and quality management tracking.
  • Support cost management by ensuring financial data from various systems is accurate and accessible.
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure risk management and scope compliance.

Data Engineering & Automation:

  • Build automation for internal project teams using Power Platform tools (Power Automate, PowerApps) to eliminate manual, repetitive administrative tasks and reporting.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) project data from various systems (SAP, project schedules, engineering documents) and multi-dimensional cube files into relational databases.
  • Tether disparate project data sets (cost, schedule, safety) into a comprehensive data set for performance analysis.
  • Perform data analysis to support project decision-making, business operations, and strategic initiatives regarding project health.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards using Power BI to visualize project metrics, safety statistics, and progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular data quality assessments to maintain accuracy, consistency, and reliability of project reporting.

Stakeholder & Regulatory Interface:

  • Assist in preparing data packages for local, national, and international agencies and regulatory entities.
  • Support the project team by providing accurate, real-time data for public relations and corporate communications at site and community levels.
  • Provide training and support to end-users (Project Managers, Engineers) on new automated reporting tools and analytical methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 0-5 years of experience (Open to entry-level with strong portfolio or internship experience).
  • Strong proficiency with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, PowerApps).
  • Experience with data ingestion tools and languages such as Alteryx, Python, or R script.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the energy sector or utility industry.
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and multi-dimensional models (SSAS, SAP BW).
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety management in energy infrastructure projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or exposure to Project Management methodologies.

Work Environment
This is a hybrid business professional role working standard business hours (8 AM – 5 PM). The position may require occasional travel to project sites to understand the data needs of field teams and interact with various stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and construction crews.
