Position Summary
Malibu Glass is seeking a motivated and dependable Jr. Glazier to join our field team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the glass and construction industry while learning directly from experienced installers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of windows, shower enclosures, mirrors, guardrails, storefront systems, and custom glass applications
- Support installers with light metal assemblies including frames, brackets, trim, and custom fabricated components
- Measure openings and help prepare materials and tools for installation
- Safely transport and handle glass materials while preventing damage or breakage
- Assist with caulking, sealants, weatherproofing, and finishing work
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites, work areas, and company vehicles
- Follow company safety procedures, job site protocols, and industry standards
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and professionally
- Uphold Malibu Glass standards by following the 5 Ps: Punctuality, Planning, Productivity, Professionalism, and Photos/documentation
Qualifications
- Previous construction, glazing, or installation experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (50+ lbs)
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Basic familiarity with hand tools and job site safety practices is a plus
