Position Summary:
The Procedural Aid supports the efficient operation of procedural departments by providing assistance with managerial tasks, basic patient care needs, housekeeping responsibilities, and inventory management. This role ensures a clean, organized, and well-prepared environment to promote patient safety and high-quality care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with non-clinical managerial duties such as filing, logging data, and supporting scheduling and supply chain functions.
- Support staff with basic patient care activities within scope of training (e.g., positioning, transport, comfort measures).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of procedural rooms and department spaces, including routine stocking, disinfecting, and turnover support.
- Manage and monitor inventory of supplies and equipment; report low stock and assist with reordering processes.
- Provide support in preparing procedure rooms with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with nursing and medical staff to anticipate and respond to department needs.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous healthcare or procedural support experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, move, or transport patients and equipment as needed.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced procedural settings including but not limited to Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and Endoscopy.
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to patient care areas
