Position Summary
The Manufacturing Estimator will play a critical role in analyzing project requirements, materials, and manufacturing processes to produce accurate cost estimates for complex machinery and tooling systems. This individual will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure competitive and profitable quotations are developed on time.
Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed manufacturing cost estimates for custom machinery and precision components.

Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and customer specifications to identify cost drivers.

Collaborate with engineering and purchasing teams to validate vendor pricing and lead times.

Support proposal efforts by preparing technical and commercial quote documentation.

Track project costing performance and recommend improvements for future quoting accuracy.

Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve scope or pricing questions.
Qualifications

3–7 years of experience in estimating or cost analysis within a machinery, automation, or manufacturing environment.

Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints, schematics, and BOMs.

Strong analytical and Excel-based costing skills.

Experience preparing quotes for custom builds or engineered-to-order products.

Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
