In this role, employees will perform all duties related to the operations of the Mix Room. This involves following recipe blending instructions, maintaining accurate inventory lots, and operating equipment safely. As training progresses, additional responsibilities may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Follow recipe blending instructions to accurately issue materials by lot and physically mix/blend recipes/batches.
- Maintain accurate inventory lots and storage conditions for ingredients.
- Operate Refractometer and record accurate brix, conducting organoleptic testing on every batch.
- Use WMS to pick and stage batches by FIFO and notify management of any discrepancies.
- Complete CIP circuits including chemical checks and hand washing, following all steps of SSOPs.
- Operate all Mix & Blending equipment safely according to SOPs, including forklift operations.
- Report any mechanical issues to the Mix Room Manager or Maintenance Staff.
- Adhere to Company Food Safety, Food Quality, GMP, and HACCP rules and requirements.
- Unload tankers as needed, following all safety procedures.
- Maintain communication with Mix Room manager, maintenance, and QC to ensure production standards are met.
- Complete required Batch & SSOP Documentation.
- Operate Yard Tractor to place and remove tankers as needed.
- Check inventory, print lot tags, complete Physical Counts, and create batches as needed in Deacom.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1-2 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience in the food industry is a plus.
- Ability to learn operating systems including WMS, Red Zone, and DEACOM.

Work Environment
Work in a GMP regulated environment within a very clean and well-maintained 135,000 Sq. Feet facility in Hopkins. The temperature is controlled to ensure comfort. Choose from three shifts with shift differentials: 1st Shift (5am - 1:30pm, Monday-Friday), 2nd Shift (1pm - 9:30pm, Monday-Friday, $2/hr differential), or 3rd Shift (9pm - 5:30am, Sunday-Thursday, $4/hr differential).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
