QualDerm Partners is looking for a skilled Medical Assistant specializing in Mohs Surgery to join our dedicated team in Winston-Salem, NC. Responsibilities
- Assist during Mohs surgical procedures, ensuring proper setup and availability of instruments.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, taking vital signs and clearing medical history.
- Maintain sterile techniques and assist with wound care and post-operative follow-ups.
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records.
- Provide patient education regarding post-operative care and recovery.
- Manage scheduling and coordination of Mohs surgery appointments and follow-ups.
- Ensure all surgical areas are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is required.
- Experience in a clinical setting, particularly in dermatology or surgical assistance is preferred.
- Knowledge of Mohs surgery techniques and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and the surgical team.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and with discretion.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software.
