Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled VDC Mechanical Project Lead to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will lead and manage virtual design and construction (VDC) initiatives, focusing on mechanical systems. This role requires a strong understanding of Revit and VDC processes to ensure project success and collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical VDC process for projects from initiation to completion
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement VDC strategies
- Utilize Revit to create and manage detailed mechanical models and designs
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of models in the overall project design
- Conduct quality checks on models and designs to ensure adherence to project standards and specifications
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members regarding VDC and mechanical systems
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on VDC practices and software tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- 5+ years VDC project experience
- 2+ years lead experience
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, etc.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and design principles
- Familiarity with Navisworks for project coordination and clash detection
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
