Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist at the Whitewater Center (Whitewater) leads the HR team to support the organization in the areas of employee onboarding/offboarding, employee status changes, personnel file management, process documentation, payroll/benefits administration, compliance management, recruitment opportunities in the marketplace and cross-communication with managers across all Whitewater Center departments. As a front-facing member of the Human Resources team, the Generalist is responsible for facilitating positive and energizing interactions with Whitewater employees. An organized and systematic work style and a keen eye for detail are crucial to success in this role. The Generalist is a full-time, on-site, benefits eligible position that reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a well-organized HR and Recruiting team to facilitate day-to-day operations.
  • Execution of the onboarding/offboarding processes in conjunction with all Whitewater Center employees including personnel data entry, compliance task completion, system credentialing, background checks and all corresponding employment documentation.
  • Point of contact for all human resources related questions and maintain the ability to coordinate with all other departments regarding proper procedures.
  • Process multi-state payroll in partnership with the accounting team.
  • Administration of requisitions, staff updates, management tools and other documentation in the ADP Workforce Now human resources platform and other Whitewater Center systems in conjunction with the Human Resources team.
  • Administration of Workers Compensation incident facilitation between employees and third-party insurance partners.
  • Conduct audits and ensure federal reporting is completed within compliance and on time.
  • Facilitate Benefit administration and recordkeeping between employees and third-party insurance providers.
  • Process unemployment claims and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Participate in recruiting events both off-site and on-site.
  • Generate reporting to provide administrative support to the HR team and other departments.
  • Analyze and develop current processes/procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or another related field.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources or another administrative role.
  • Experience working in ADP Workforce Now or a similar HR information system.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit at a computer for sustained periods of time
  • Must be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time in all weather and environmental conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, stand, lean, and kneel on a regular basis and for sustained periods of time.
  • Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.
  • Must be able to work in shared spaces with other employees and customers.
  • All positions at Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.
