Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school psychologist is needed for a contract position in Norwalk, IA, serving elementary, middle, and high school students. This role requires certification and licensure to provide comprehensive psychological services across multiple grade levels within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students in elementary, middle, and high school settings.
- Develop and implement strategies to support student mental health, academic performance, and social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote a positive learning environment and address student needs effectively.
Qualifications:
- Certified and licensed as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working in educational settings across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
- Strong knowledge of developmental psychology, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining accurate records and compliance with regulations.
