Robert Half is currently seeking a Logistics Clerk who is eager to contribute directly to our operations. This role is perfect for someone who is comfortable being at the heart of the action, taking a proactive approach to problem solving and ensuring that every detail is handled. You won't be sitting behind a desk all day! Instead, you’ll be actively managing tasks, physically involved in shipment coordination, and collaborating with the team to streamline our logistical processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-On Inventory Management: Track shipments, monitor inventory levels, and physically verify stock to ensure accuracy.
- Shipping & Receiving: Assist in preparing, packing, and inspecting orders for shipping. This will involve hands-on interaction with materials and freight to meet deadlines.
- Coordinating Logistics: Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to manage schedules and troubleshoot delivery issues in real-time.
- Data Entry: Accurately input logistics information, maintain records, and manage shipping schedules.
- Quality Control: Perform hands-on inspections of shipments to verify accuracy and comply with quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Assist with organizing the warehouse or stockroom and implementing process improvements for a more efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or related fields (warehouse or hands-on roles preferred).
- Strong physical stamina to handle occasional on-site lifting or moving of boxes/materials.
- Proficiency in logistics software or systems, with the ability to learn new technology quickly.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- A team-first attitude with a willingness to step in where needed and take ownership of tasks
