Job Details:

• 13-week contract
\n• 36 hours per week
\n• Every other weekend required
\n• Pediatric Emergency Department is separate from the Main ED
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5 or more
\n• May care for holding patients
\n• Possible float to PICU and Pediatrics
\n• Previous Pediatric ED experience required
\n• Proficient ventilator management preferred
\n• PICU experience preferred
\n• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Scrub color: Navy blue
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke & Trauma CEUs
\n• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required
\n• Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays
\n• Candidates are required to float within their skillset
\n• ED RNs must complete de-escalation training within 14 days of start date

Facility:

\n

This facility features a large emergency department with 72 beds, including a dedicated pediatric emergency area and fast track. The facility also includes a 19-bed rapid decision unit and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The emergency department sees approximately 100 visits per day across 15 pediatric rooms and beds, offering a dynamic and high-acuity environment for experienced pediatric emergency nurses.
