The Patient Financial Counselor LPN facilitates requests for insurance authorizations for Home Health Patients.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate verification of insurance benefits
- Documents patient benefits with insurance payers
- Obtains and processes authorizations
- Identifies possible copays for patients
- Coordinates payment for all services required according to insurance payer specifications
- Maintains home health documentation of write-offs as appropriate
- Problem solves insurance errors and researches insurances requirements
- Ensures patient benefits are accurate in EMR system
- Answers patient benefit questions
Requirements:
- Oregon State Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse
- Home Health Experience (including insurance verification and authorizations) Highly Preferred
- 1-2 years of Insurance Verification experience
- 1-2 years of authorizations experience
- Customer Service skills
- Computer proficiency
- EPIC experience (preferred)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, start time between 8am-9am (8 hour shift) with 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday shift per month
Pay: $30-45 per hour depending on experience
Duration: 640 Hours (approximately 16 weeks) Contract opportunity. *Possibility of long term employment with Client Company upon successful completion of contract period
