Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT-CT certification and experience with Siemens CT systems for a third-shift contract position.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a CT department serving inpatient and outpatient populations
  • Work schedule is 3x12 hour night shifts from 5:30 pm to 6:00 am with every 4th weekend rotation
  • Patient population includes neonates through older adults
  • Applicants may be required to float to different units within their clinical competency
  • Experience with Epic EMR is required
  • Uses Siemens CT equipment and PACS system
  • Responsibilities include CT scanning procedures across multiple body systems and maintaining isolation precautions as needed
  • Some procedures may require new skills such as aspirations, biopsies, and drainage
  • Computerized documentation and strict adherence to protocols are expected
  • Annual and orientation modules are required and completed via online training platform
  • Return staff must wait two years before being eligible to travel again with the facility
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Travelers residing within 75 miles of the facility will be considered local and subject to local pay rules
  • Backgrounds with explanations may be considered per facility policy

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Current ARRT-CT certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in CT specialty required
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience operating Siemens CT systems required
  • Experience with computer documentation and Epic EMR required
  • Skills in preparation and administration of contrast media and starting IVs required
  • Must be able to scan abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal
  • Preferred skills include multiplanar reconstruction, aspirations/biopsies, drainage procedures, brain perfusion, and CTAs
  • Experience handling all age groups from neonate to older adult required
  • Two references required for consideration
